Haris Rauf Explodes After Pakistan’s Humiliating Loss to NZ, Slams Critics in Fiery Presser!
Pakistan lost the first two T20Is to New Zealand, including a 9-wicket thrashing after scoring just 91 runs. Haris Rauf defended young players, urging patience and 10-15 games for development. He took 2 wickets for 20 runs but blasted critics for waiting for Pakistan’s losses to target the team.

With the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand, Pakistan’s young team has come under heavy criticism after losing the first two matches. In the first game, Pakistan was bowled out for a mere 91 runs and lost by 9 wickets. The second T20I, reduced to 15 overs, saw Pakistan post 135 runs, with Salman Agha, Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Afridi making vital contributions while the young batters struggled again. Despite the better total, Pakistan’s bowling attack failed to defend, except for Haris Rauf, who impressed with 2 wickets for 20 runs in his 3 overs.
Frustrated by the criticism, Haris Rauf hit back at critics during the post-match press conference. He stated that people in Pakistan wait for the team to lose just to criticize and pass random comments. Rauf urged that the young players must be given at least 10-15 games to develop and understand international cricket. He said:
Criticising has become common now in Pakistan, random comments are made by anyone… young players need to be given freedom and deserve at least 10-15 games to develop well. Some people just sit and wait for the Pakistan team to lose so that they can be talked about in some way and I think they have their own opinion, they can give it.
He also mentioned that the seniors, including himself, are trying to guide and motivate the juniors about the demands of international cricket, assuring that the team is in a rebuilding phase and needs patience and support.
