Cricket Icons Inzamam, Misbah, and Two Others Enter PCB Hall of Fame

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has inducted Inzamam-ul-Haq, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Mohammad, and Saeed Anwar into its Hall of Fame. These cricket legends have made significant contributions to the cricketing success. Inzamam scored over 11,000 runs in ODIs and 8,830 in Tests. Misbah captained the team to the top of the Test rankings, while Anwar and Mohammad were instrumental in the success during their playing years.

Pakistan Cricket Board has inducted four cricket legends, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Mohammad, and Saeed Anwar, into the PCB Hall of Fame. These four players are celebrated for their significant contributions to Pakistan’s national cricket team.

Inzamam-ul-Haq, who played from 1991 to 2007, scored over 11,000 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and nearly 9,000 runs in Tests, with 25 centuries to his name. Misbah-ul-Haq, who captained the team to historic achievements, accumulated over 5,000 runs in Tests and ODIs. Mushtaq Mohammad, an iconic player of the 60s and 70s, scored 3,643 runs in Tests and 209 runs in ODIs. Saeed Anwar, known for his elegant batting, scored 8,824 runs in ODIs and 4,052 runs in Tests.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised these players for their exceptional leadership, skills, and commitment, which have inspired future generations. He said:

Mushtaq Mohammad is regarded as one of Pakistan’s finest captains, known for his astute leadership and inspiring style. Inzamam-ul-Haq’s immense talent and match-winning ability have left an indelible mark on the sport. Misbah-ul-Haq took charge of the Pakistan team during challenging times, guiding it to the pinnacle of Test rankings and achieving a historic series win in the Caribbean. Saeed Anwar, with his natural grace and classical technique, redefined the role of an opener and thrived against some of the world’s best bowlers under all conditions.

He emphasized that these cricketers hold a special place in Pakistan’s cricketing history and have elevated the sport both within the country and internationally. Their legacies continue to shape the cricket landscape and influence young talent.
