Bangladesh vs West Indies: Litton Das Named Captain as Bangladesh Unveils T20I Squad for West Indies Tour

Litton Das will captain Bangladesh in their upcoming T20I series against the West Indies, marking his first time leading the team in an entire T20I series. Bangladesh will play three T20Is after their ongoing ODI series. The squad includes Shamim Hossain and Ripon Mondol, while key players like Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mahmudullah, and Mustafizur Rahman are unavailable due to injuries or personal reasons.

For the T20 series against West Indies, the Bangladesh team has announced their squad with Litton Das as captain. This will be the first time the experienced wicket-keeper batter leads the team in a full T20I series. Bangladesh will play three T20Is after completing the ODI series. Shamim Hossain, returning after a year, and Ripon Mondol, a standout performer at the 2023 Asian Games, are notable inclusions.

However, regular captain Najmul Hossain Shanto is sidelined due to a hamstring injury, while Mahmudullah, Towhid Hridoy, and Mustafizur Rahman are missing due to injury and personal reasons. The series will wrap up Bangladesh’s ongoing all-format tour of the West Indies, with matches scheduled on December 15, 17, and 19 at Arnos Vale Ground. The squad consists of 15 players, including Taskin Ahmed, Nasum Ahmed, and Mahedi Hasan, among others.
