After a disappointing performance in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where Virat Kohli struggled with consistency, he and his family visited Premanand Maharaj Ji at Vrindavan for spiritual solace. The picture from their visit went viral on social media, showing Kohli and Anushka Sharma with their children, Vamika and Akaay, though their faces were blurred. This isn’t Kohli’s first spiritual retreat; he had previously visited Neem Karoli Baba Ashram in 2022 when he was facing a rough patch in his career, and soon after, he found his form.

Despite his century in Perth, Kohli managed only 190 runs across nine innings in the series, contributing to India’s loss and their slip to the third position in the ICC Test rankings. Kohli also dropped to 27th in the rankings, reflecting his recent struggles. His behavior during the series drew criticism from former cricketers, including Sunil Gavaskar.
