The BCCI has revealed the Indian U19 Women’s squad for the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 in Malaysia. Led by Niki Prasad, the defending champions aim to retain their title. India begins their campaign on January 19, 2025, and will play all group-stage matches in Kuala Lumpur.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has unveiled the Indian U19 Women’s National Cricket Team squad for the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025. Scheduled to take place in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2, 2025, the tournament provides a platform for young talents to shine on the global stage.
The Indian team will be captained by Niki Prasad, with Sanika Chalke serving as vice-captain. The squad features a blend of experienced young players, including two wicketkeepers, Kamalini G and Bhavika Ahire. Additionally, Nandhana S, Ira J, and Anadi T have been named as standby players.
India, placed in Group A alongside Malaysia, West Indies, and Sri Lanka, will play their group-stage matches at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. The defending champions kick off their campaign against West Indies on January 19, followed by matches against Malaysia on January 21 and Sri Lanka on January 23.
The tournament structure involves a Super Six stage, where teams carry forward points and Net Run Rate from earlier matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on January 31, with the final scheduled for February 2.
The Indian squad will focus on maintaining their title-winning momentum and continuing their dominance in the format. With a mix of talent and leadership, the “Girls in Blue” aims to make a strong impact in Malaysia.
