After winning the toss, UP Warriorz chose to bowl first and asked the Giants to post a score on the board. In their response, Gujarat Giants posted 153 on the board. Sophie Devine anchored the innings with an unbeaten 50 off 42 balls, including two sixes and two fours to keep the scoreboard moving. Beth Mooney, on the other hand, scored 38 runs and gave the team the valuable support they needed.

In response, UP Warriorz could not build important partnerships against the disciplined bowling from Gujarat. With the figures of 3-16 in her four overs, Rajeshwari Gayakwad was named Player of the Match. Devine and Renuka Singh Thakur also took two wickets each and bundled out UP Warriorz for 108 runs.

For the Warriorz, Phoebe Litchfield, who scored 32 off 27, and Chloe Tryon, who scored an unbeaten 30 off 22, offered some support to the side, but unfortunately, they could not stop the fall of wickets. Meg Lanning’s 14 runs did not help the Warriorz in the chase as the wickets started to tremble too soon.

Gujarat’s disciplined bowling attack, backed by timely contributions with the bat, ensured they claimed a comfortable victory. This result lifts the Giants’ confidence and moves them closer to a top-four finish, while UP Warriorz’s playoff hopes take a hit as they slip further down the table.
