Mohammed Siraj Returns to Ranji Trophy Preparations After Champions Trophy Hiatus
Mohammed Siraj starts off his training at the Gymkhana Ground, preparing for the next Ranji Trophy clash against Himachal Pradesh. Siraj was also unexpectedly dropped from the Indian team for the Champions Trophy and England series, as he prepares for a comeback.
Mohammed Siraj has been spotted training hard for the Ranji Trophy, in the Gymkhana Ground. He is expected to be a part of Hyderabad’s team in the upcoming Ranji Trophy match which will take place against Himachal Pradesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Recently, he was excluded from the Indian squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan and UAE and is also not a part of the T20I or ODI squad against England. He is currently gearing up for the next Ranji Trophy clash against Himachal Pradesh and a video of his training sessions has also been shared by Hyderabad Cricket on their social media handles.
Mohammed Siraj was also a part of the Indian team in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, where he performed well and took 20 wickets. Siraj was also able to give assistance to Jasprit Bumrah, taking crucial wickets at various stages of the game. However, India lost the series by 1-3 for the first time in a decade.
But in a surprising move, Siraj was dropped from the Indian team in the Champions Trophy squad. He has also been one of the top-performing bowlers in the 2023 ODI World Cup and 2023 Asia Cup, where he played a crucial role in the final match against Sri Lanka.
