During the IPL 2025 Match 29 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 13, a physical altercation broke out between a female and a male spectator in the stands. The reason for the scuffle remains unclear, and the situation was quickly defused by nearby onlookers before security could step in. A video of the incident, shared by the account ‘@gharkekalesh’ on X (formerly Twitter), quickly went viral, gaining over 700 likes.
In terms of cricketing action, MI edged past DC by 12 runs, registering their second win of the season. DC, who had won their previous four matches, suffered their first loss despite blazing 89-run innings off just 40 balls by Karun Nair. Unfortunately for the home team, the rest of the batting lineup couldn’t offer adequate support.
MI’s Karn Sharma, playing as an Impact Player, was named Player of the Match for his economical spell of 3/36 in 4 overs. MI posted a challenging 205/5 after being put in to bat by DC skipper Axar Patel. DC will next face the Rajasthan Royals on April 16, while MI takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 17; both matches start at 7:30 PM IST.
