England vs New Zealand: England Unveils 16-Man Squad for Upcoming Tour of New Zealand

For the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, starting November 28, 2024, England has announced a 16-man squad that includes newcomers Jacob Bethell and Jordan Cox, showcasing the team's fresh talent for the challenging tour ahead.

The England Cricket Board has revealed a new 16-man squad for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, set to begin on November 28 at Hagley Stadium. Ben Stokes will captain the side, with Ollie Pope continuing in his role as vice-captain, ensuring experienced leadership as the team prepares for the challenging series ahead.

Coming to the other members of the squad, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Chris Woakes, Zak Crawley, and Ben Duckett have been introduced as the regular members of the side while from the newbies, Warwickshire’s batting all-rounder, Jacob Bethell, has been included in England’s Test squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand. He replaces Jamie Smith, who is taking paternity leave and will be unavailable for the entire tour.

In addition, Jordan Cox, who was previously an unused reserve for batting and later joined the white-ball squad in the Caribbean, is poised to make his Test debut. He will take over the wicket-keeping duties in place of Smith.

The England team aims to perform strongly in the upcoming New Zealand tour after suffering a 2-1 series defeat to Pakistan, despite winning the opening match. Captain Ben Stokes is eager to lead the team to success.
