For the first time, British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was seen playing cricket with Rajasthan Royals players, donning a Shane Warne jersey. The 33-year-old, a four-time Grammy Award winner, has previously expressed his love for cricket and was recently interviewed alongside Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill on Breakfast with Champions. Sheeran shared that he was a close friend of Australian spin legend Shane Warne, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 52.

During his visit, Rajasthan Royals gifted Sheeran a Warne jersey as a tribute. He joined the players for a fun street cricket session, where young all-rounder Riyan Parag bowled to him. Rajasthan Royals, the inaugural IPL champions in 2008 under Warne’s captaincy, have seen a resurgence in recent years, reaching the final in 2022 and securing a third-place finish in 2024 after losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the playoffs.

For IPL 2025, Rajasthan Royals have assembled a strong squad, led by Sanju Samson, with key players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shimron Hetmyer, and Jofra Archer. Their performance in the upcoming season will be closely watched as they aim for another title.
