However, consistent breakthroughs from Sutherland, Alana King, and Kim Garth stymied New Zealand’s progress, leaving them at 215 all out in 43.3 overs.

The match saw tight bowling from the Australian side, with Annabel Sutherland leading the way with figures of 3/39. Alana King also impressed with 3 wickets for just 34 runs. Megan Schutt and Ellyse Perry maintained pressure throughout, keeping the scoring in check. Meanwhile Kim Garth and Darcie Brown claimed 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Australia’s innings were built on solid contributions, especially from Gardner and Phoebe Litchfield (50). Despite a few quick wickets falling in the middle order with the help of tight bowling from Roremary Mair(3/58), Sophie Devine(2/49) and Amelia Kerr(4/54), Australia’s total proved beyond New Zealand’s reach, ensuring a comfortable victory for the visitors. This win sets up an exciting finish to the series as the teams head into the next match.
