When No One Appealed for Ellyse Perry’s Run Out
In the ongoing WBBL, Ellyse Perry, playing for Sydney Sixers, found herself seemingly run out, but no appeal was made by the fielding team. On the 3rd ball of the 20th over, M Carmichael played a shot and ran, the fielder quickly threw the ball to wicket-keeper Lizelle Lee, who dislodged the bails, but no one signaled an appeal.

The square-leg umpire didn’t review the situation, and Lee reset the stumps. Only after watching replays on the big screen did Lee realize Perry had failed to make her ground in time. Despite noticing the error, it was too late for an appeal to be made.
