After the loss to Delhi Capitals on April 10 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, tensions seemed to rise within the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) camp. Despite a competitive total of 163, RCB couldn’t defend it as KL Rahul’s unbeaten 93 off 53 balls took DC home with 13 balls to spare. The defeat marked RCB’s second loss of the IPL 2025 season, leaving them in third place on the points table.

What caught fans’ attention post-match was a viral video showing a visibly animated Virat Kohli in a serious conversation with RCB mentor Dinesh Karthik. This sparked speculation that Kohli may be frustrated with team captain Rajat Patidar’s leadership, especially after DC recovered from 30/3 to chase down the target comfortably.

Adding to the controversy, Dinesh Karthik criticized the pitch in the post-match press conference. He revealed the team had asked for a true batting surface for their first two home games, but the pitch did not behave as expected, catching the team off guard.

This combination of tactical missteps, leadership questions, and surface issues has fueled discussion about internal discord in the RCB camp, particularly with Kohli — RCB’s most passionate figure — appearing deeply involved and emotionally invested in the team’s outcome.
