The IPL Trade Window has now started to go official, shocking the fans. Mumbai Indians have already started to make their Pre-auction purchases through the auction window and are now ready for the auction. Amidst this, fans have reacted to everything that is going on around the trade window.

The IPL Trade Window has been the hot topic these days, noting that the retention date is coming close. Each and every team is making sure to get the full use of this trade window, and it has started with the Mumbai Indians. The team has already acquired Rahul Chahar and Sherfane Rutherford to their line-up for the next season.

Along with that, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are also working on their trade deal involving Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson. Mumbai Indians seem to have built their own mini Chennai Super Kings. The team already had Mitchell Santner and Deepak Chahar on their side. And now to make the trinity complete, they have also signed Shardul Thakur to the line-up. This would provide some nostalgia even to the CSK fans.

Aaron Finch is known as the player to has changed several teams in his IPL career. Throughout his IPL career, he ended up playing for a massive total of 9 teams, like he literally went to play with every team against whom he had played once. If he ended up playing two seasons for a team, fans would consider it a good time for him.

Now, this has also been the case with Shardul Thakur. Just when he gets comfortable with any team, he is either released or traded to another team. Reacting to the trade deal between MI & LSG for Shardul Thakur, a Twitter user said that Shardul is the Indian Aaron Finch.

A Twitter user might have described the situation of Shardul Thakur in the best possible way. He said that Shardul does not change teams in the IPL. The teams just trade him as if they are passing the group project files. This would be the best way in which they have described almost every trade deal of Shardul Thakur.

In the ten seasons he has played in the Indian Premier League, Shardul Thakur has been a part of six teams. With his eleventh season coming in IPL 2026, he also adds a new team to this list. Also, it should be noted that this is the third time he has been involved in an all-cash deal in the history of the IPL.

Dhoni’s Preparation for Olympics

MS Dhoni is also confirmed to play the Indian Premier League 2026 edition. It is still not confirmed whether it will be his last, but fans have started to speculate that he is eyeing a spot in the team for the 2028 Olympics. A famous page shared the schedule of Dhoni’s practice sessions every day.

Since MI has already started to make moves for the IPL Trade Window, CSK can’t be behind them. As per the reports, Chennai Super Kings will be eager to free up their purse before the auction, and this will be done by releasing players. It also said that the team will be releasing several Indian batters from their line-up.

And this will be done with some releases, where the top names include Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra. With Ashwin being retired in the IPL, a major part of their purse is free.

All the CSK fans must be shocked to know about the list of players which could be released from the team. While Ravindra Jadeja is likely to be a part of the trade deal, numerous other players are also expected to be released. After these releases, Chennai Super Kings will be entering the auction with almost 30 crores in the purse.

To this, a Twitter user reacted by saying how KKR remains at a benefit when it comes to their purse. The team will just have to release Venkatesh Iyer, and they will immediately have 23.75 crore rupees in their purse. It won’t be like CSK, releasing several players to get to the 30 crore mark.

However, the Mumbai Indians made it to the trade news a few days back, with the trades involving Shardul Thakur and Arjun Tendulkar.

It was supposed to be a separate cash deal for both teams, and this deal has taken away all the attention from the Samson Jadeja trade. Fans are now just wondering what would happen to the Mumbai Indians without Arjun Tendulkar, and some of them are even happy to have Lord Shardul in the team.
