The date 19 November 2023 cannot be forgotten by the Indian cricket fans, even after their T20 World Cup triumph this year. India and Australia went against each other in a final match of the ICC World Cup 2023, where India reached the finals with no loss in the tournament.

Although the team looked strong throughout the tournament, they struggled against the Aussies in the final. Pat Cummins, who promised to silence the crowd was able to do so, as the bowling line-up took all the wickets of the Indian team, and Travis Head scored a marvellous century for the team to win.

Since then, India and Australia faced each other once again in the T20 World Cup, where Travis Head could’ve taken the game again away from India. However, Jasprit Bumrah took his wicket in the death overs, allowing India to reach the playoffs and eventually win the title.

As India now prepares for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, fans have reacted to a year of the World Cup final loss.
