The ongoing ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup witnessed India Women Under-19s dominating Scotland Women Under-19s with a commanding 150-run victory in the Super Six, Group 1 match held at Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur, on January 28, 2025. Opting to bat first, India posted an imposing total of 208/1 in 20 overs.

Gongadi Trisha starred with an unbeaten 110 off just 59 balls, including 13 fours and 4 sixes, earning her the Player of the Match award. She was supported by G Kamalini, who contributed 51 runs, and Sanika Chalke, who added 29 runs. Scotland’s bowling attack struggled, with Maisie Maceira taking the lone wicket for 25 runs in her four overs. Chasing a daunting target of 209, Scotland managed only 58 runs in 14 overs.

Vaishnavi Sharma (3/5) and Aayushi Shukla (4/8) wreaked havoc, while Trisha chipped in with 3/6. Scotland’s batters faltered under pressure, with Pippa Kelly top-scoring with 12 runs. India’s net run rate of 7.500 keeps them atop Group 1 with three wins in three matches, securing a semi-final spot.
