Ben Stokes Calls For Help After Home Theft: Family Safe But Items Stolen
After a break-in at his home in Castle Eden, England test team captain Ben Stokes has requested the return of several stolen items. He described these items as “irreplaceable” and emphasized the importance of getting them back as soon as possible.
While Ben Stokes was in Pakistan for a test series, a masked gang broke into his house in Castle Eden to steal valuable items. His wife Claire and their two children, Layton and Libby, were at home during the break-in. Although Stokes confirmed that his family was not physically harmed, the incident impacted their mental well-being significantly.
Among the stolen items were jewelry and a designer bag, which contained Ben Stokes’s OBE medal awarded for his contributions to cricket after his impressive performance in the 2019 summer. He played a crucial role in England’s first ODI World Cup victory, scoring a key knock in the final and earning the player of the match title. Stokes also had a remarkable performance against Australia in the Ashes, helping England win a thrilling match.
Ben Stokes shared a statement on Instagram:
By far the worst thing about this crime is that it was carried out whilst my wife and 2 young children were in the house. Thankfully, none of my family came to any physical harm. Understandably, however, the experience has had an impact on their emotional and mental state. All we can think about is how much worse this situation could have been.
He also shared photos of some cherished items that were stolen and asked people to return his “irreplaceable” belongings. Additionally, he expressed a desire to catch the thieves responsible for this crime.
