India’s former opener and cricket star Shikhar Dhawan has once again captured the hearts of fans with a generous gesture during the Big Cricket League (BCL) 2024. During a semi-final match between Southern Spartans and Northern Challengers, a young fan was accidentally hit by a ball that soared into the stands.

Although the injury appeared minor, Dhawan’s response was both quick and thoughtful. He noticed the fan being attended to and threw a water bottle towards him from a distance, showing his concern and care.

Dhawan, who retired from international cricket in August 2024, has been active in various cricket leagues, including the Nepal Premier League (NPL), where he made 301 runs in four matches.

In the BCL 2024, Dhawan continued his stellar form, scoring 86 runs off 43 balls in the opening match against Southern Spartans. Despite his fiery performances, his team was eliminated in the semi-finals by the same opponents. Dhawan’s actions and impressive performances have made headlines, reinforcing his popularity as not just a cricketer, but a beloved figure in the cricketing world.
