His explosive finish included 39 runs off his last 11 balls, ensuring a comfortable win for the Hurricanes. Chris Jordan provided a steady partnership, contributing 18 off 13 balls. The duo’s unbroken 65-run stand-off just 28 balls sealed the game. Earlier, the Sydney Thunder posted 164/6 in their 20 overs, powered by David Warner’s valiant 88 off 66 balls, laced with seven boundaries.

However, their innings lacked significant contributions from other batters, with only Alex Ross managing 22. Riley Meredith led the Hurricanes’ bowling with 2/30, supported by George Garton’s 2/31.
