In just 9 matches, Jake Fraser-McGurk scored 330 runs, hitting four explosive fifties. The right-handed batsman had an impressive strike rate of over 230. Even though he was successful in the IPL, the Delhi Capitals chose not to keep him, which means he will enter the auction for the first time, where he is expected to earn a substantial contract. Mark Howard mentioned that Fraser-McGurk could fetch a million-dollar deal in the auction.

While many big names from Pakistan played in IPL 2008, the BCCI banned them after the terrorist attack in Mumbai that same year. In contrast, Wasim Akram served as a coach in the IPL, starting as the bowling coach for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010 and remaining with the team for over six years.
