In response, South Africa quickly took four wickets in just nine overs, leaving Bangladesh with only 38 runs. On the second day, South Africa continued their domination after they were 307 runs ahead with the loss of just 2 wickets.

South Africa took a strong lead in the match with stellar centuries from Tony de Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs, setting a solid foundation. They were backed by David Bedingham, who added a valuable half-century. Toward the end of the innings, Wiaan Mulder stole the spotlight with a brilliant 105 runs off 150 balls, helping South Africa reach an imposing total.
