The Australian Big Bash League (BBL) team announced on April 1, 2025, that they had signed Kohli for the next two seasons, creating a buzz among cricket fans. However, the Sixers later clarified that it was just a joke, as Indian players are not allowed to participate in foreign leagues unless they retire from international and IPL cricket.
