Internet Flooded with Love as Rishabh Pant Links Up with Lucknow Super Giants Ahead of IPL 2026
The IPL 2026 will witness India’s star wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant back in action, as on 20th March 2026, he joined his IPL team, Lucknow Super Giants. For the upcoming Season, Rishabh Pant will again be taking over the captaincy duties of the team.
Being the most expensive player in IPL history and the man who has been the first choice to get the wicket-keeping role for the Indian team, Rishabh Pant is all set to lead the Lucknow Super Giants franchise in the IPL 2026. On social media, the Lucknow Super Giants team posted a video of Rishabh Pant welcoming him for the IPL 2026 with his signature portrait, along with fans recreating his unique wicket-keeping style.
In IPL 2025, Rishabh Pant had a poor run with the bat, scoring just 269 runs in 14 matches, averaging 24.25 and striking at 133.16. Even under his captaincy, Lucknow Super Giants finished seventh in the points table, winning only 6 of 14 matches. However, with the new season coming up, the fans will be hoping for a comeback in the IPL by the Lucknow Super Giants. With Rishabh Pant coming back to the team after an injury, the fans are excited to see how the franchise will perform in the IPL 2026.
