The cricket fans have been astonished as David Warner issued a statement to reverse his retirement for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which will be played in Australia. This has seen various mixed reactions from cricket analysts and fans, as Pat Cummins also expressed his views on the same.

Cummins made some hilarious remarks related to David Warner and other teammates who are playing for New South Wales. Recently, he went to a podcast of The Grade Cricketer, where he said that he had a talk with Warner on a call regarding the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Perry, who was among the co-hosts of the podcast, asked Cummins if he wanted to send a message to Warner. He replied by saying,

Dave, we’re very interested. We’re taking it very seriously and we’ll be in touch mate. I did speak to Dave a couple of days ago. He was like, “What do you think?”, and I’m like, yeah, good luck with the Thunder this year (referring to the upcoming season of the Big Bash League). And I look forward to your comments on Fox.

This comment by Cummins was hilarious and both the co-host of the podcast started laughing.

David Warner received a lifetime ban on captaincy during the 2018 series against South Africa, due to the ball-tampering incident. However, his ban was lifted after Warner retired from the Test format. Therefore, Warner is also eligible to captain Sydney Thunder in the upcoming Big Bash League.
