Cricket Bloopers: When England Cricket’s Social Media Had Too Much Fun
With the emergence of social media, the cricket boards all around the world have started to use the same to update the fans with match scores, team updates, and much more. On the majority of the occasions, we have seen posts in full professionalism across the official social handles of Cricket Boards.

But there have been times when the page admins must have forgotten that they’re not running a personal account, leading to some hilarious tweets. For this, England Cricket’s official Twitter account comes out on top, providing various moments of laughter to the fans with its tweets. Let’s take a look at some of the funniest tweets made by the page admin, which added some fun to the game.
Josh Tongue x Spider-Man
During the fifth Test match between India and England, which is also a series decider, Josh Tongue bowled a magnificent spell in the first innings, taking 3 wickets for just 57 runs in 16 overs. First, he started by taking the wicket of Sai Sudharsan, who nicked the ball back to the wicket-keeper, allowing Tongue to get his short-ball plan working.

For this, they used the image of two Spider-Men pointing out towards each other, proving to be the best way to make the wickets look identical.
India vs Toss: 0-5
The only aspect in which the Indian team has suffered a lot in the current India tour of England is winning the toss. With Ben Stokes, England’s captain, ruled out of the final Test, it was Ollie Pope who stood up as the team’s captain. India’s captain, Shubman Gill, had been eagerly waiting for the coin toss to come in his favour, just in the final match.

But unfortunately, that didn’t happen, as Ollie Pope won the toss and decided that England would bowl first. England Cricket usually posts the toss update, telling the fans which team has won the toss and what they have decided to do first. However, in the fifth Test, their official account posted the toss like breaking news, telling the fans that India had lost the toss once again.
Ed Sheeran or Just a Lookalike?

We have spotted the cricket greats such as Sachin Tendulkar, Brett Lee, Brian Lara, and even India’s former Test captain, Rohit Sharma, who was present in the final Test in the stands. Among all these spotings, one of them has been the most unexpected, and it was the doppelganger of Ed Sheeran.
Always a pleasure to have @EdSheeran with us at the cricket 😅 pic.twitter.com/NMXiL28SuT

Reply Worth the 10-Year Wait
Jofra Archer, the fast-paced bowler of England, posted a tweet 10 years ago, asking how long it takes to get to Washington. He asked the fans to know about the time it took him to reach Washington City. But the England Cricket admin took the right moment to respond to Jofra’s tweet during the third Test match between India and England. This match was played at Lord’s.

Pant Misses, Admin Didn’t
Watching Rishabh Pant perform with the bat has always been entertaining, regardless of the ground or team he plays against. During the India tour of England, Pant has not only sent the ball flying towards the crowd but also sent his bat flying towards the fielders, and the admin decided to take it as an opportunity to pull some laughter.
