India’s captain Rohit Sharma hit the nets on Friday to get ready for the three-match Test series against New Zealand starting October 18. He has been in rest mode after the convincing 2-0 victory against Bangladesh in Tests. As he uploaded the video of him practising, fans were also left in splits on the humorous moment when someone asked if he would kick off the session with a six. His clever reply left everyone laughing.

Rohit shared the video on his official Instagram account, where he humorously responded to a man asking if he would start the session with a six, saying, “Pagal hogaya hai kya? (Are you mad or what?).”

Interestingly, Rohit began India’s first innings in the Kanpur Test with two consecutive sixes. During his recent nets session, he showcased his readiness for the upcoming series by executing some delightful shots, demonstrating his form and confidence.

The first Test between India and New Zealand is set to begin on October 16 at Bengaluru and the subsequent games at Pune and Mumbai respectively. As New Zealand has proved to be a more formidable side in the format, Rohit Sharma and his men are keen to sweep this series and get closer to the WTC 2024-25 final. After the New Zealand series, the Indian cricket team is set to tour Australia for a monumental 5-match test series beginning from November 2024 to January 2025.
