In response, he approached Delhi Police on April 23 and lodged a formal complaint at Rajinder Nagar Police Station, seeking urgent action and enhanced protection for himself and his family. The recent threats followed Gambhir’s strong condemnation of the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 civilians lost their lives. His statement, “India will strike”, shared on X, drew national attention. Gambhir had just returned from a family vacation in France and has kept a low profile since India’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 win in March.
