For the latest update, Rohit Sharma is all set to try something new after making a name for himself in cricket. Sony Pictures Networks India has announced his new show, Family Full House with Rohit Sharma, which will premiere on September 19, 2026. This will be Rohit’s first major television appearance and gives fans a chance to see a different side of the former India captain.
Rohit, 39, has already stepped away from Test and T20 cricket and now plays only ODIs. He recently showed that he can still make a big impact with the bat. During India’s ODI series in England in July, Rohit scored 175 runs in 3 matches at an average of 58.33 and a strike rate of 98.31. India lost the series 2 1, but Rohit was among the positives.
His best innings came in the final ODI at Lord’s. Chasing 388, he made a brilliant 138 from 110 balls, hitting 17 fours and 5 sixes. Virat Kohli also scored 74 from 60 balls, and the pair put together a memorable partnership. India, however, fell short and lost by 27 runs.
Rohit’s ODI numbers tell the story of his long career. He has scored 11,895 runs from 288 matches and has an average of 48.95. His record includes 34 centuries, 62 fifties and a highest score of 264. He is seventh on the all-time ODI run-scoring list and sits behind Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli among India’s top run-getters. In 2026, Rohit has scored 379 runs from 9 ODI innings, including a century and a fifty. Now, with his cricket career entering a different phase, his television debut gives fans another reason to keep an eye on him.
