In the International Masters League (IML) 2025 final between India Masters and West Indies Masters at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on March 16, tempers flared between Yuvraj Singh and Tino Best. The heated exchange occurred when Best, after conceding two boundaries to Ambati Rayudu in his third over, attempted to leave the field, possibly due to an injury. Yuvraj, unhappy with the timing, took the matter to on-field umpire Billy Bowden, who seemingly asked Best to stay.
A visibly frustrated Best returned and confronted Yuvraj, leading to a tense face-off. The two engaged in a fiery verbal exchange before West Indies Masters captain Brian Lara and Ambati Rayudu stepped in to de-escalate the situation. Shortly after, Yuvraj responded with his bat, smashing Best for a six, reminiscent of his iconic six sixes against Stuart Broad in 2007. However, tensions eased later, with Yuvraj playfully patting Best on the back during a strategic timeout.
India Masters eventually won the final by six wickets, with Ambati Rayudu scoring a match-winning fifty. Sachin Tendulkar contributed 25 off 18 balls, while Vinay Kumar (3/26) and Shahbaz Nadeem (2/12) led India’s bowling attack.
