Rajasthan Royals retained him for a massive ₹18 crore ahead of the IPL Mega Auction, highlighting his importance to the team. His aggressive yet controlled batting at the top order will be crucial for RR’s campaign as they chase their second IPL title, having last won in 2008.
RR, led by Sanju Samson, will begin their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
