Yashasvi Jaiswal Changes from Mumbai for Goa! The Shocking Reason Will Surprise You!

After being a key player for Mumbai since his U-19 days, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has decided to switch from Mumbai to Goa for the upcoming domestic season. The 23-year-old cricketer has officially requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), citing personal reasons for his move. Jaiswal, who gained national recognition after scoring a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, has been a crucial part of Mumbai’s cricketing setup.

This season, he played a Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir but managed only 4 and 26 runs. Despite being named in the Mumbai squad for the semifinal against Vidarbha in February, he withdrew at the last moment due to an ankle injury. Internationally, Jaiswal impressed in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, scoring 391 runs in five Tests at an average of 43.44, including a century and two half-centuries.

His decision to move follows a trend set by players like Arjun Tendulkar and Siddhesh Lad, who also represented Goa after starting their careers in Mumbai. Goa’s recent qualification for the knock-out stage may have influenced his decision to make the switch.
