With the conclusion of the Champions Trophy 2025, which India won in Dubai, the Men in Blue are set to begin a new chapter with a white-ball series in Bangladesh. On April 15, the BCCI confirmed a tour featuring three ODIs and three T20Is scheduled between August 17 and August 31, 2025. The matches will take place in Mirpur and Chattogram.
The ODI leg will begin on August 17 and run through August 23, while the T20I series will start on August 26 and conclude on August 31. This will mark India’s first white-ball assignment after their Champions Trophy triumph, and fans are particularly excited as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are returning to the ODI format after retiring from T20Is.
Historically, India has dominated Bangladesh in ODIs played on Bangladeshi soil, winning 18 out of 25 matches, with six losses and one no result. In T20Is, India holds a perfect 3-0 record in Bangladesh, last winning there in 2016. Their most recent meeting was in the Champions Trophy 2025, where India comfortably won by 6 wickets.
