Virat Kohli Shuts Down Yuvraj Singh and Amit Mishra With Strong Words

Just after the claims made by Yuvraj Singh and Amit Mishra that fame has changed Virat Kohli, the RCB star responded with a composed yet firm statement. Kohli, who is having a brilliant IPL 2025 season with 505 runs in 11 matches at an average of 63.12 and a strike rate of 143.46, clarified that his behavior towards people has remained consistent. Speaking to Mayanti Langer, he mentioned reconnecting with his Under-19 teammates Tanmay Srivastava and Ajitesh Argal, both now IPL umpires, and also meeting Yomahesh in Chennai.

Kohli dismissed suggestions that he has distanced himself from old friends, saying, “I’ve never behaved differently with them because I don’t feel differently myself”. This appears to be a subtle rebuttal to Mishra and Yuvraj, who had expressed disappointment over fading ties and change in dynamics.

RCB, led by Rajat Patidar, is currently topping the IPL points table with 16 points from 11 games. With Kohli scoring seven fifties, all in winning causes, the team is in strong contention for a playoff spot. A win in their next match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 9 could seal their qualification and edge them closer to their first-ever IPL title.
