For the 2025 IPL season, Virat Kohli has not only dominated with the bat, scoring 505 runs in 11 innings to lead the Orange Cap race, but also opened up about his personal space and mindset. In a recent RCB Podcast conversation with Mayanti Langer, the 36-year-old shared how he deals with the demanding nature of tours. Kohli revealed that while hotel rooms can feel isolating for many, he sees them as a peaceful retreat where he reconnects with himself and his family.
He emphasized that solitude helps him recharge, especially given the constant public attention he receives. Unlike others who may socialize to unwind, Kohli prefers silence and staying in his room to restore his energy. Talking regularly with his family gives him comfort, and he doesn’t feel the urge to go out or socialize daily.
While he enjoys occasional bonding with teammates, Kohli values balance and mental clarity above all. His calm approach off the field seems to be fueling his on-field performance, with seven half-centuries this season already. After narrowly missing the title in 2024 despite being the top run-scorer, Kohli is determined to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally lift the IPL trophy this year. His composed mindset is proving vital to RCB’s strong playoff push.
