In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25, Narayan Jagadeesan, a former CSK star, made headlines during a knock-out match between Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. In a record-breaking moment, Jagadeesan hit seven fours in a single over against Rajasthan’s Aman Shekhawat, setting a new India record for the most runs in an over without hitting a six.
The over began with a wide delivery, and Jagadeesan capitalized by hitting six consecutive fours. This impressive feat came when Tamil Nadu was chasing Rajasthan’s target of 267 runs.
Jagadeesan, who played an instrumental role in Tamil Nadu’s chase, contributed a solid 65 runs off 52 balls, including 10 boundaries. Despite the strong start, Tamil Nadu found themselves at 141/4, requiring 127 runs from 23 overs to win.
The talented batter, however, had already made his mark in the tournament with 303 runs from six matches, averaging 60.6. This performance also included a century and a fifty, proving his consistency ahead of IPL 2025, even though he went unsold in the mega-auction.
