Through a heartfelt Instagram post, Varun Aaron announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Friday, January 10. He said:

For the past 20 years, I have lived, breathed, and thrived on the rush of bowling fast. Today, with immense gratitude, I officially announce my retirement from representative cricket.

Injuries prompted Varun Aaron to retire from red-ball cricket in February last year and now he has announced his retirement from all formats of the game. The fast bowler, known for his spending and dedication, played his final match for Jharkhand against Goa in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 on January 10.

Despite the challenges posed by injuries, Aaron’s commitment to cricket remained unwavering and his decision to step away marks the conclusion of a career that inspired many fans and players alike.
