The Pakistan cricket team is now able to mark their comeback in international cricket, as the team won by 127 runs in the first Test match against West Indies. Various players were able to make their contribution well to the team, but the name which made it to the headlines was Noman Ali, the spinner, who made it to the ICC rankings.
As per the latest rankings, Noman Ali has been able to make it to the top ten ICC bowler rankings for the first time. In the first match against West Indies, Ali started off well by taking a five-wicket haul in the first innings of the game. When he returned with the bowl in the second innings, he was able to take up a crucial wicket, finishing the match with 6/81.
This also gave a boost to him in the ICC rankings, as Noman Ali now stands at the 9th spot, pushing the Australian bowler Scott Boland out of the top 10 rankings. Along with Noman Ali, Sajid Khan also received a boost in the ICC rankings with his exceptional performance in the bowl.
He took 4 wickets in the first innings and also registered a five-wicket haul in the second innings, finishing the game with impressive figures of 9/115. This helped Sajid Ali to rank up by 18 spots in the rankings, and he currently stands at the 23rd spot.
