Social Media supports as KL Rahul Eyes T20I Return After Stellar IPL 2025 Form

After the 2022 T20 World Cup semi-final against England, KL Rahul has not featured in a T20I for India. However, with a stellar run in IPL 2025, a comeback appears likely. Rahul has amassed 493 runs in 11 matches at an impressive average of 61.63, including three fifties and a century. His current strike rate of 148.04 is his best since IPL 2018, when he struck at 158.41 while scoring 659 runs. Notably, he scored an unbeaten 112 off 60 balls against Gujarat Titans, rescuing Delhi Capitals from a collapse with a strike rate of 172.30.

According to a report in the Times of India, Rahul is under consideration for India’s upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh in August, which follows the England tour. His last T20I outing was a disappointing 5-run knock off 5 balls against England, where India lost by 10 wickets. Despite criticism over his playing style, former Australian cricketer Tom Moody praised Rahul’s IPL 2025 performance, calling it “outstanding” and blaming the lack of impactful innings from other batters for Delhi’s lower total.
