After being the world’s largest e-cricket and entertainment league, the Global E-Cricket Premier League (GEPL) has seen rapid expansion, with player registrations growing fivefold from 200,000 in Season 1 to 910,000 in Season 2. Played on Real Cricket, which has amassed over 300 million downloads, the league has gained a multiplatform reach of over 70 million viewers and over 2.4 million minutes of streamed content on JioCinema and Sports18.
Sara Tendulkar has joined GEPL as the owner of the Mumbai franchise, reflecting her deep connection to the city and her passion for cricket and esports. Her inclusion strengthens GEPL’s vision of regionalization and competitive gaming growth. Rajan Navani, CEO of JetSynthesys, hailed her as a key figure in expanding esports to a wider audience, emphasizing her influence among India’s Gen Z.
GEPL’s upcoming season will feature expanded team formats, advanced league dynamics, and enhanced competitive gameplay powered by Real Cricket 24. The season will culminate in a high-stakes grand finale in May 2025, where top teams will compete for the title of ‘e-Cricket Icon’ on the global stage. With Sara Tendulkar’s presence, the league aims to drive greater engagement and establish esports as a mainstream phenomenon.
