Initially unaware of who hit him, Kohli soon realized it was Salt and playfully chased him, turning the incident into a fun memory. The English wicketkeeper-batter later shared his side of the story, admitting that he got Kohli perfectly on the side of the head and tried to escape once caught.
The amusing interaction quickly became a highlight of the event, with Kohli hugging Salt after the playful chase. RCB’s social media captured the moment partially, but Salt expressed that the full footage would be hilarious. RCB had secured Salt for ₹11.50 crore in the IPL 2025 auction, recognizing his stellar performance last season with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he was instrumental in their title-winning run.
This year, Rajat Patidar takes over as RCB captain, with their IPL 2025 campaign set to open against KKR on March 22 at Eden Gardens. The incident showcased the camaraderie within the team and set a positive tone ahead of the much-anticipated season.
