Ravindra Jadeja Silences Retirement Rumors with Bold Instagram Response After CT 2025 Win!

After winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja dismissed retirement rumors with a four-word Instagram story: “No unnecessary rumours, thanks”. Speculation had arisen after Virat Kohli hugged Jadeja following his final over in the tournament’s final against New Zealand. However, Jadeja made it clear that he has no plans to retire from ODIs.

Jadeja played a crucial role in India’s victory, bowling 10 overs for just 30 runs and dismissing Tom Latham. He also contributed with the bat, scoring nine runs off six balls, including the winning runs. Following the victory, he celebrated with teammates Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh, performing the “Gangnam Style” dance.

Previously, Jadeja had retired from T20Is after India’s 2024 T20 World Cup triumph. In ODIs, he has amassed 2806 runs and taken 231 wickets. He was also part of India’s 2013 Champions Trophy-winning squad. Reflecting on the win, Jadeja credited Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul for their crucial late partnership and expressed pride in India’s back-to-back ICC titles.

India chased down New Zealand’s 251/7 with four wickets in hand and six balls to spare, securing their third Champions Trophy title in history.
