After losing the first two matches of IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have struggled with their performance, with key players like Ravindra Jadeja underperforming. In their most recent loss to Rajasthan Royals, CSK failed to chase down 183, finishing at 176/6, losing by six runs. The defeat marked their second consecutive loss, following a 17-year streak of home wins broken by Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous match.
CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad attributed the losses to poor starts and fielding lapses, acknowledging that the team conceded 8-10 extra runs due to misfields. In an effort to uplift the team’s spirits, Jadeja shared an optimistic Instagram post with a picture of him and former captain MS Dhoni, captioned “Things will change”.
The Super Kings are hoping for a turnaround as they prepare for their next match against Delhi Capitals on April 5, 2025, at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. Despite their recent setbacks, CSK’s squad, including key players like Deepak Hooda, Sam Curran, and MS Dhoni, remains hopeful of bouncing back.
