PAK vs NZ: PCB Announces White-Ball Squads, Major Exclusion of Babar & Rizwan

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squad for Pakistan’s upcoming series against New Zealand on 4 March. The series will begin just a week after the conclusion of the Champions Trophy, as the Kiwis will face off against South Africa in the second semifinal tomorrow at Lahore.

To everyone’s surprise, the skipper Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have been dropped by the board for the five T20I matches against New Zealand. Also, the captaincy duties have been given over to Salman Ali Agha in this case. The Chief Selector, Aqib Javed, played an important role in announcing the team and said that the team had been announced after taking a look at the current form of the players.

Pakistan T20I Squad: Salman Ali Agha (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Hasan Nawaz, Jahandad Khan, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Haris, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Omair Bin Yousaf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sufyan Moqim and Usman Khan.

For the ODI, Fakhar Zaman, who got injured after playing Pakistan’s first game in the Champions Trophy, will also be missing out in the ODI series against the Kiwis.
