During the 15th match of the Australian One-Day Cup 2024/25 at the University of Tasmania Stadium, New South Wales (NSW) secured a dominant seven-wicket victory over Tasmania. Electing to bowl first after winning the toss, NSW restricted Tasmania to 205 runs in 47.1 overs. Gabe Bell was the standout bowler for Tasmania, taking 3/29 in 10 overs. Moises Henriques also contributed with the ball, picking up 2/31 in 8 overs, dismissing Tim Ward (7) and Caleb Jewell (37). Ben Dwarshuis was the most successful bowler for NSW, claiming 4/39 in 8.1 overs.
Tasmania’s batting effort was led by Jake Doran (34) and Charlie Wakim (29), but they struggled to build big partnerships. Chasing 206, NSW reached the target comfortably in 38.3 overs, finishing at 209/3 with 69 balls to spare. Moises Henriques played a match-winning knock, remaining unbeaten on 71 off 83 balls, including five fours and two sixes.
He was well supported by Matthew Gilkes (46) and Oliver Davies (40* off 36). Gabe Bell provided early breakthroughs for Tasmania, dismissing Josh Philippe (30) and Nic Maddinson (11), but NSW’s middle order remained steady. Henriques’ all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award, helping NSW secure five points from the game.
