Kohli-Rohit Dressing Room Banter Goes Viral After India’s Semifinal Win

For the third consecutive time, India has reached an ICC white-ball final after securing a thrilling victory over Australia in the Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal. The match was a tense encounter, with KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya at the crease in the final moments. As India edged closer to victory, Rohit Sharma appeared nervous, while Virat Kohli remained composed.

A viral video from the BCCI captured Kohli’s lighthearted remark to Rohit in the dressing room, saying, “Maarne to chhakka hi ja raha hai woh” (He’s definitely going to hit a six). KL Rahul did just that, smashing a six to seal India’s win in style. Kohli, who scored a crucial 84 runs, played a pivotal role in India achieving the highest successful run chase against Australia in an ICC knockout match.

This victory sends India into their fifth Champions Trophy final, aiming to reclaim the title they last won in 2013. Having finished as runners-up in the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup, the team now has another shot at an ICC trophy. As they prepare for the final, India hopes to end their decade-long wait for a major ICC white-ball tournament victory.
