Ahead of the IPL 2025 season, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have unveiled their new jersey, featuring three stars that represent their three IPL titles. A golden badge on the arm further highlights their status as reigning champions. The jersey was showcased in a promotional video featuring KKR stars like Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, and Vaibhav Arora.
KKR will begin their title defense on March 22 at Eden Gardens against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), a team they defeated twice last season. Their second fixture is an away game against the Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on March 26.
One of the biggest questions surrounding KKR is their captaincy choice after Shreyas Iyer’s departure. Reports suggest that Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane are the frontrunners for the role, with Rahane having significant leadership experience in domestic and IPL cricket. However, the franchise has yet to make an official announcement.
