India vs Australia: Akash Deep Issues Apology to Travis Head Over Unintentional Incident in Brisbane Test

The third Test match between India and Australia has ended in a draw after multiple interruptions due to rain and bad light. The result keeps the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy series tied at 1-1, with two more matches remaining. During the match, a light-hearted moment occurred between Akash Deep and Travis Head. While defending a ball from Nathan Lyon, Akash Deep’s pad got stuck, and Head, positioned at short leg, asked for the ball. Instead of handing it over, Akash Deep casually dropped it in front of him, leaving Head surprised. This unintentional act led to some humorous banter, and Akash Deep immediately apologized for his mistake.

Akash Deep impressed with both bat and ball in the match. He took three wickets and contributed 31 runs in the first innings, helping India avoid the follow-on. Additionally, he had a crucial 47-run partnership with Jasprit Bumrah for the 10th wicket. On the fifth day, Australia declared at 89/7, setting India a target of 275 runs. However, play was stopped early due to bad light, and the match ended without any further play.
