India takes a 4-0 lead after beating Sri Lanka Women by 30 runs in the fourth T20I

The Indian batting performance was led by Smriti Mandhana (80 from 48 balls), Ashwin Verma (79 from 46 balls), and Richa Ghosh (40 from 16 balls). Vaishnavi Sharma and Arundhati Reddy were the best of India’s bowlers, taking 2 wickets each for 47 runs and 66 runs, respectively.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s team had lost their first toss of the series to Chamari Athapaththu’s Sri Lanka, and without any hesitation decided to bat first. With the series won, India rested Jemimah Rodrigues and Kranti Gaud in favour of Harleen Deol and Arundhati Reddy for this match.

Shafali Verma has emerged as an important contributor during the series and has formed an effective partnership with the bowlers, who have complemented her excellent form. For the third T20I of the series, Harmanpreet Kaur also came into form in his short innings. Renuka Singh Thakur was the leading bowler for India in the second T20I.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka will try to make the most of the remaining games in the series by winning at least one of them. They have shown some potential in the series over the past few weeks, but they have not provided many satisfactory performances.
