As the captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma is no stranger to making headlines, but his latest gesture has taken fans by surprise. The star cricketer handed over his personal Lamborghini Urus Performante, worth approximately Rs 4.18 crore (ex-showroom), to a Dream11 contest winner. In a video now viral on social media, Sharma can be seen handing over a giant ceremonial key to the winner, who was accompanied by his father. The blue luxury SUV, previously spotted with Sharma multiple times, bore the same registration number, confirming it was indeed his vehicle.
This giveaway had been promised by Sharma during a Dream11 ad campaign, though fans were initially skeptical whether he would truly part with the prized car. The Lamborghini Urus, sold in India in two variants priced between Rs 4.18 to 4.22 crore, boasts powerful 3996cc and 3999cc engines paired with automatic transmission. It delivers up to 657.10 bhp at 6000 rpm. A hybrid version, the Urus SE, offers an even higher output of 789 bhp and 950 Nm of torque.
The giveaway underscores not only Sharma’s fan engagement but also the growing impact of fantasy sports promotions in India’s cricketing culture.
