Gaddafi Stadium Hand Over to ICC Confirmed by PCB Following Initial Delays

There has been a lot of speculation about the preparations of the Pakistan Cricket Board ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025. Amidst this, the board has released a video of the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, just three weeks before the tournament, showing their preparations for the tournament being its hosts.

Pakistan now looks all set to host the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, and there are three main venues of this tournament which include National Stadium in Karachi, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. These stadiums had construction work still going on according to the videos and images circulating on the internet. Also, these stadiums have to be handed over by the PCB to the ICC by February 1.

The videos on the internet showcased that lots of work in the stadium was pending with the tournament being just a few weeks away. Amidst this, the Pakistan Cricket Board shared a video on their social media platforms, which shows the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium.

Later, the board also announced that this stadium will be handed over to the ICC by February 11, just a few days before the ICC Champions Trophy starts. Thus, the handover process will come after the Tri-series between South Africa, New Zealand, and Pakistan, in Pakistan.
